Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
Supporting nervous system regulation and the body’s innate healing.
“The living body is intelligent, and it will reveal its story if we learn to listen.”
- Rollin E. Becker, DO
What is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy?
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that supports the body’s natural capacity for regulation, balance, and healing.
Rather than focusing on force or manipulation, this work is based on careful listening through the hands and an understanding that the body has its own innate intelligence. When given the right conditions—safety, presence, and time—the nervous system often begins to reorganize and settle in ways that can support both physical and emotional well-being.
Many people come to this work because they are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from their body, or caught in patterns of tension, pain, or stress that talking alone has not fully shifted.
What happens in a session?
Sessions take place in a quiet, supportive environment with you fully clothed, usually lying comfortably on a treatment table.
Touch in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is gentle and still. Rather than applying pressure or manipulation, the practitioner places their hands lightly on specific areas of the body while maintaining a quality of attentive presence.
During a session you may notice:
A sense of deep relaxation
Subtle movements or shifts in the body
Changes in breathing
Feelings of warmth or spaciousness
Emotional release or increased body awareness
Some people notice very subtle changes, while others experience a deep sense of rest. Every nervous system responds in its own way.
Why it Matters:
Integrating Body and Awareness
For many people, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy becomes a way of rebuilding trust in their body.
It can support:
Greater interoceptive awareness
Increased nervous system regulation
A deeper sense of embodiment
The capacity to rest and settle more fully
Over time, clients often report feeling more connected to their body, more resilient in the face of stress, and more able to access states of calm and presence.
Each 60 minute session is $125 and each 90 minute session is $165
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy New Orleans FAQs
What is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST)?
BCST is a gentle, hands-on approach that supports the nervous system in settling and reorganizing. Instead of using pressure or manipulation, the practitioner listens to the body’s subtle rhythms (“tides”) and supports its natural movement toward balance and health.
How is BCST different from massage or other bodywork?
BCST uses very light, still touch and does not involve manipulation, stretching, or adjusting. The work is slow, quiet, deeply restorative, and more about listening to the system than doing something to it.
Do I need to know how to slow down for BCST to work?
No. Many people arrive activated or overwhelmed. BCST helps your system find its own pace of settling. There is no expectation that you relax on command because the work meets you exactly where you are.
Is BCST safe for trauma survivors?
Yes. When practiced with trauma-informed training, BCST is supportive for people with developmental trauma, chronic stress, and sensitive nervous systems. The work is collaborative, gentle, and always paced with your comfort in mind.
